Do you want an easier way to manage the tags used for testimonials captured through Thrive Ovation? Although not directly, there is a way you can access the tags to edit, delete or view them when required.
In this article, we’ll show you how you can access all the available testimonial tags in Thrive Ovation and edit, remove or view them through it.

Accessing the Thrive Ovation Testimonial Tags
To access the Thrive Ovation Testimonial tags on your website, enter the following URL by replacing your domain name in the browser’s address bar.
www[dot]domain[dot]com/wp-admin/edit-tags.php?taxonomy=tvo_tags&post_type=tvo_testimonials
Note: Please replace www[dot]domain[dot]com with your website address.
This URL will lead you to a page where you’ll find the existing Thrive Ovation tags listed.
The left side of the page will let you add more categories, while the right side has the tags listed.
Adding a New Thrive Ovation Testimonial Tag
To add a new Thrive Ovation Testimonial tag, open the Thrive Ovation tags page, on the left, enter the details for a category and click Add New Category.
Editing the Thrive Ovation Testimonial Tags
To edit the Thrive Ovation tags, in the Thrive Ovation testimonial tags list, hover on the tag you want to edit and click Edit.
When you click Edit, you’ll be taken to a page where you can edit the following details.
- Name: The name of the tag or category
- Slug: The slug that’ll be a part of the URL where this tag can be seen.
- Parent Category: You can select a parent category if you want.
- Description: The description of this tag.
Once done, click the Update button.
The Thrive Ovation Testimonials tags also have the quick edit option where you can edit the name and the slug of the selected tag.
If you want to edit only these, hover over the tag on the Thrive Ovation testimonial page, and click Quick Edit.
Clicking Quick Edit will open the fields that let you edit the tag name and slug. Here, enter the tag name and slug you want to and click Update Category.
Removing the Thrive Ovation Testimonial Tags
Just like you can add more tags for testimonials, you can remove them too.
To remove a Thrive Ovation Testimonial tag, hover over the tag and click Delete.
Clicking Delete will open a popup asking you to confirm whether you want to permanently delete the tag. To proceed, click OK.
Viewing the Thrive Ovation Testimonial Tags
Another control you see here is to view the testimonial tag. However, this one does not work directly as it would. There are a few things you’ll need to set up to ensure you’ll be shown how the testimonial tag looks when you click on View.
To set things up, open your WordPress admin area, navigate to Thrive Dashboard >> Thrive Theme Builder, in the left panel, click Templates.
On the Thrive Theme Builder templates page, click the +Add New button to add a new template.
Clicking +Add New will open a popup where you’ll need to add the Template name, set it to be a List template, List type as Archives and Archive type as TVO Tags.
When you select the Archive type as TVO Tags, you’ll be able to select the tags you want to define this template for. You can set it for all available TVO tags or start typing the type name in the field below.
Once you fill up all the fields, you’ll see two buttons that you can choose from. You can choose to create a template from scratch or choose a template to edit.
In this article, we’ll start from scratch to work on.
When you click Start from Scratch, this will take you to the Thrive Theme Builder templates page. On this page, hover on the newly created template – the Testimonial Template in our case, and click Edit.
When you click Edit, you’ll see the template opened in the editor. This template will also have the TVO_tags List element on it.
In the editor, open the right panel, click the plus (+) icon, search Content Box.
When you find the Content Box element, drag and drop it just above the TVO_tags List element on the page.
Once on page, hover on the TVO_tags List element, and drag and drop it inside the Content Box element.
After you add the TVO_tags List element in the Content Box, hover over the box and click the bin icon to delete it.
The reason we need to delete the Content Box is because we’ll be adding the Display Testimonials Element that’ll help display testimonials dynamically by tags.
To add the Display Testimonial element, in the right panel, click the plus (+) icon, search Display Testimonial and drag and drop it on the page.
After dragging and dropping the element, click the Display Testimonial button on it.
Clicking Display Testimonial will open a popup where you can select a template of how you want the testimonials to be displayed.
On the popup, click on the template you want to use. This will open the next page to help you select the testimonials to be displayed.
In this article, we’ll select the Dynamic list.
When you click Dynamic list, you’ll see the available Testimonial tags you can select from. To select the tags, click on the checkbox besides their name and click the Apply button.
When you delete, click the Save Work button in the bottom left of the screen.
After you’ve followed the steps above, open the TVO tags page, hover on the Tag you want to view and click View.
When you click View, you’ll see the archive of the testimonials belonging to the tag or tags you’re trying to view.
