Enabling the Stripe Customer Portal for Your Thrive Apprentice Members

Do you want your users to manage their Stripe portal through Thrive Apprentice? You can allow users to manage their subscriptions and payment methods and view invoices through Thrive Apprentice.

In this article, we’ll see where and how you can enable the Stripe customer portal for your users and how they can benefit from it.

Enabling the Stripe Customer Portal in Thrive Apprentice

To enable the Stripe Customer Portal in Thrive Apprentice, open your WordPress admin area, navigate to Thrive Dashboard >> Thrive Apprentice, and click Settings.

On the Thrive Apprentice Settings page, click Stripe under the Settings column on the left.

On the Stripe settings page, you can control the Stripe connection on your website. Here, you can allow coupons at checkout, automatically display a buy button for a Stripe product, check the modes your Stripe connection is in, or even disconnect from Stripe.

If you have just connected with Stripe, the Stripe customer portal has been activated on this page.

If you’ve connected Thrive Apprentice with Stripe with one of the previous versions, you must click the Activate Customer Portal button to enable it in Thrive Apprentice.

Adding a Dynamic Button Directing to the Stripe Customer Portal

To allow your users to access their Stripe customer portal, you must add a button or a link directing them to the portal.

In this section, we’ll see how we can add a button with a dynamic link to the customer portal.

To begin, open your WordPress admin area, navigate to Page >> All Pages, and click Edit with Thrive Architect against the page to which you want to add the button. This will open the page in the Thrive Architect editor.

When the page opens in the Thrive Architect editor, add a button on the page and click it to open its Main Options in the left column.

Under the button’s Main Options, click the Dynamic link icon in the Button link section.

After you click the dynamic link icon, select Stripe and then Customer portal in the following dropdowns that appear.

Once you have selected the dynamic link options, click the Insert button to apply the changes to the button.

Enabling the Stripe Customer Portal through the Thrive Apprentice settings and then adding a dynamic link to a button on a landing page will ensure your users are taken to their customer portal when they click the button on the front end.
