Ensuring Cloudflare Works with Thrive Themes Products

Do you want to boost your website’s speed and security without running into compatibility issues? Ensuring Cloudflare works smoothly with Thrive Themes products helps you get the most out of both platforms, providing a faster and more reliable experience for your visitors.

In this article, we’ll see how you can manage settings in Cloudflare to ensure it works well with Thrive Themes products on your website.

  • Accessing the Rules Section in Cloudflare
  • Creating and Adding Rules
  • Managing the Mirage and Polish Settings
  • Bypassing Cache in Cloudflare

Accessing the Rules Section in Cloudflare

To create and add new rules, you’ll first need to login to your Cloudflare account.

When you login, on the Account home page, click on the domain you want to edit.

When you click on a Domain, in the left column, click to open the Rules.

Under Rules, click to open Page Rules.

Creating and Adding Rules

To ensure Cloudflare and Thrive Themes products work well together, you have to create two page rules in Cloudflare.

Creating Rule One

To create a page rule to help with Thrive Architect pages and posts, click on the Create Page Rule button.

When you click to create page rules, you’ll be taken to a page to create your first rule.

To create a rule, in the URL field, enter your website domain followed by tve=true.

After entering the URL, under Pick a Setting, click on the dropdown field and select Rocket Loader.

Once you select Rocket Loader, ensure it is disabled and keep it that way.

To add another setting, click the +Add a Setting button.

When you click to add a setting, you’ll see another dropdown where you select Cache Level.

Selecting Cache Level as the setting, in the next dropdown, select Bypass.

After you select these, click the Save and Deploy Page Rule button.

Creating Rule Two

After you’ve finished creating the first rule, you’ll be taken back to the Page rules page in Cloudflare.

To create the second rule that helps with Thrive Theme Builder templates, again, under the Page Rules section, click the Add Page Rule button.

When you click to create page rules, you’ll be taken to a page to create your second rule.

To create a rule, in the URL field, enter your website domain followed by /wp-json/ttb/*.

Managing the Mirage and Polish Settings

To access the Mirage and Polish settings for images, start by clicking on Speed in the left column and click on Settings.

On the Settings page, click to open the Image Optimization tab.

Under the Image Optimization tab, scroll down to Polish and disable this option by clicking the toggle button.

Bypassing Cache in Cloudflare

If you have multiple page rules to add and don’t want to repeatedly bypass cache for them all, the Cache section in Cloudflare allows you to add Cache Rules.

To do so, in the left column, click on Caching and then Cache Rules.

On the Cache Rules page, click on the Create rule button.

Clicking the button will show templates that you can use to create a cache rule.

Among these templates, within the block that says Bypass cache for everything, click on Preview Template.

Clicking to preview the template will let you filter the requests or select to apply it to every incoming request.
