Thrive Ultimatum offers three distinct campaign types to suit different marketing strategies. Choosing the right one is the first step in creating your scarcity campaign.
1. Fixed Dates Campaign

Best for: Product launches, holiday sales (e.g., Black Friday), or events with a specific deadline.
- How it works: The campaign runs from a specific Start Date/Time to a specific End Date/Time.
- Who sees it: Everyone who visits your site during that window.
- Setup: Simply select the Start Date and End Date. You can also target specific pages or posts.
2. Recurring Campaign

Best for: Weekly sales, monthly webinars, or “weekend specials.”
- How it works: The campaign repeats automatically at intervals you define.
- Examples:
- Daily: Offer valid every day from 2 PM to 4 PM.
- Weekly: “Pizza Tuesday” offer every Tuesday.
- Monthly: “End of Month” sale from the 28th to the 30th.
- Setup: Define the frequency (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Yearly) and the duration of each occurrence.
3. Evergreen Campaign

Best for: Funnels, welcome sequences, and individual user journeys.
- How it works: The countdown is unique to each visitor. It starts when they perform a specific action (the “Trigger”).
- Example: A user subscribes to your newsletter and gets a 48-hour discount.
Evergreen Triggers
To start an evergreen campaign, you must define a Trigger:

- Thrive Leads Group: Starts when a user subscribes via a specific Thrive Leads form.
- First Visit: Starts the moment a user visits your site (or a specific page).
- Page Visit: Starts when a user visits a specific page (requires a Lead Generation element connection).
- Incoming Webhook: Starts when a 3rd party tool (like your email CRM) pings Thrive Ultimatum.
Evergreen Duration: Absolute vs. Minimum
When setting up the time, you have two options:

- Absolute Duration: The timer is fixed (e.g., exactly 48 hours from the moment they trigger it).
- Minimum Duration: Ensures the campaign ends at a specific time of day comfortably in the future.
- Example: You want the offer to end at Midnight.
- If a user visits at 11:50 PM, a 10-minute timer might be too short.
- With “Minimum Duration” set to 24 hours, the timer will skip the immediate midnight and end at the next day’s midnight, ensuring they get enough time.
Lockdown Mode
For Evergreen campaigns, you can enable Lockdown.
- What it does: It “locks” the promotion page.
- Active: The user sees the special offer.
- Expired: If they click the link after time runs out, they are redirected to an “Expired” page.
- reliable tracking that prevents users from cheating the timer by switching browsers or devices (uses email links).
