Looking to build a gorgeous landing page for a local business? Then you'll love these 3 new templates that are tailor made for that purpose.

Not only are they on the cutting edge of design trends, they are also 100% customizable.

Check out the video to see how easy it is to completely change the look and feel of these templates to fit your brand.

3 Businesses, 1 Design

Are you a good cook?

Honestly, I'm not. I can follow a recipe... but I can't actually cook.

When you see a real chef in the kitchen, they can somehow imagine how the dish would taste if they added just a pinch of this or a spoon of that.

This is the exact same type of skill a good designer has.

They can look at a landing page template and imagine what it would look like changing the colors, fonts, images etc.

For us mere mortals, that's just wizardry.

That's why I asked our designers to create 1 amazing design and adapt it to fit 3 different businesses.

Here's what they came up with:

Variation 1: The Organic Food Store Landing Page

Variation 2: The Beauty Salon Landing Page

Variation 3: The Jewelry Shop Landing Page

When you look at these side by side, you can see it's the same template. But the look and feel of each of these templates is so different you could easily glance over without noticing they are in fact the same!

All three landing page templates can be found in Thrive Architect under the "ThriveBiz" category in the landing page templates cloud.

And you can see a full demo (with animations) when going to our landing page gallery.

Learn some of that wizardry

All our landing page templates are 100% customizable. Which means that you CAN go from one of these templates to another and that's exactly what I'm showing you in the video tutorial.

Here are the basic steps in our landing page transformation process:

Pick a Color Scheme

As you can see, we selected a camaïeu of green for the health shop, orange for the beauty salon and lilac for the jewelry shop.

When adapting one of these templates for your own business, you can either select the color scheme you like most and go with that one or pick your own base color and find additional tints of color that work well.

Good resources for this are Color by Adobe (set the color rule to monochromatic or shades) or simply the color picker from within Thrive Architect.

The main focus here is to keep it to 1 base color and a few lighter and darker tints. You don't want to go mess around with different colors!

Once you have these colors you can apply them to:

  • Heading fonts
  • Background sections
  • Details such as borders and dividers

Select Your Images

Even if you don't change the color scheme and decide to pick one of the three available options, changing the images will have a big visual impact.

The smartest way to go about changing images on a landing page template is to:

  • Go to change image
  • Look at the dimensions of the original image
  • Mirror those dimensions for your own images

Image dimensions are shown in pixels in the WordPress media library

If you're unsure about changing the size of your images, you can follow this video tutorial on how to do this within WordPress.

One thing you'll notice in these landing page templates is that we used content boxes and the background image option to style the images.

The main reason for this is that the content box has a set size. This will ensure that when you load an image that's not exactly the right size, it will still look good on the page!

Hook Up Your Email Service

We wouldn't do justice to our slogan of being a conversion focused company if we did not include at least one way to collect leads... This template has 2!

A On-click Lightbox (11.43 min)

When you click one of the buttons you'll notice that a opt-in form is shown.

You can see in the video at 11.43 minutes how to style this lightbox.

An Exit-intent Lightbox (13.21 min)

When a visitor is about to leave the page, an exit intent lightbox is shown to capture their attention. You can use this moment to offer them something to incentivize visiting your local business.

Watch from minute 13.21 to discover how to set up (or remove) this lightbox.

While we highly recommend building a mailing list, you're not obliged to use the lightboxes in this way... You can show your website visitors a special promotion you have going on or anything else you feel would benefit your marketing efforts.

Landing Page Vs. Homepage

You might have noticed that any of these landing pages would be a perfect fit as the homepage for a local business website and frankly they are!

If you're looking on how to set this up as your homepage, check out our One-page Website tutorial.

  • Nice templates, Hanne. I’m glad that you seem to start dabbling in the physical products niches. I love it!

    • We’re listening to what our customers are asking and try to build templates based on demand 🙂 So I’m happy you like them Emil!

  • Hello Hanne,

Beautiful designs. It´s like just a “plug and play”.

Oh, and thanks for the new term I learned today. Camaïeu (also called en camaïeu) is a technique that employs two or three tints of a single color, other than gray, to create a monochromatic image without regard to local or realistic color.

    Thank you.

  • I always loved your products, but I see other page builders ahead of game by creating a theme that you can customize it with their page builder. Recently I’ve not seen many features from Thrive Team.

    • Sorry to hear you feel that way Farhang. While we have not released heaps of features for Thrive Architect, we did release Thrive Optimize our A/B testing tool for landing pages recently, which was kinda of a “big feature” 😉
And we’re working on a solution for the theme problem

  • This look nice and thanks for adding them to the mix!

When is Thrive going to make it possible to actually use these homepage templates on the homepage (and/or other pages as well) of a Thrive theme? As it stands now it isn’t possible to get a Thrive landing page to utilize the existing theme’s header/footer to keep the look and feel consistent throughout the site.

Another theme, has found a way to make this possible so I can only hope Thrive is working on a viable solution as well.

    Thanks!

    • Hi Andrew,

Yes with our theme this will be possible. We’re also working on a solution to allow headers and footers on landing pages on non-Thrive themes themes.
So the answer would be: yes we’re working on a solution.

  • Boom Shaka Laka Boom –

Just awesome add-ons that keep proving to me Thrive is certainly well worth the membership.
Keep on pushing us to push business solutions.

    Cheers Thrive team.

  • Arrrh! I seen local business and got way too excited! This is what i’d like although I may be a lone voice!

A tradesman homepage with a internal service page and internal additional location page. I think alot of affiliates who use Thrive have the odd local client and would like this. Hopefully you’s find the spare time!

    • Hi John,
Sorry to disappoint you but there is no such thing as “spare time” at Thrive Themes headquarters 😀 We can however put it on our list of local businesses and see if we get more demands that would fit this type of template.

  • I have recommended Thrive to my local business compatriots, WordPress community here in PDX, and other entrepreneur startup mastermind groups. The Thrive team rocks – you never fail to deliver!

  • Is it possible to get the exit intent pop-ups as templates for Thrive Leads? So I can use it on the whole site?

    Thx

    • OMG thanks Peter for reminding me! We prepared these templates in Thrive Leads too and I totally forgot to export them… They’ll be available in about 8h in the lightbox templates.
This will allow you to use them as the exit intent lightbox all over your site!

  • These are CHOICE. Really good.

I wonder about other kinds of businesses; I own a martial arts studio and also a service business (on-site window and patio screen door repair).

Could Thrive Themes work for my bizzes?

  • Amazing description and beautiful template. I love that you guys keep adding on amazing additions to an already great product and Hanne your tutorials are always excellent.

I really hope Thrive continues to grow and get better like this because it’s been a joy to be a member.

One thing is that I think customer support would be better with live chat or better response time. Other than that, tutorials like this make me so happy to be a member.

    • Hi Nick,
Thanks for your feedback. We’re working hard on improving our support. We’ve been growing our support team substantially over the past months and are trying to figure out a more efficient way than the support forum. But as you can image, this is a big task!

  • I hope this isn’t a duplicate! Y’all keep coming up with such beautiful templates and designs and I might “have” to go out and find some local business clients! Site creation isn’t a major aspect of my biz and I’m thinking I might change that!

I’ve been tweaking the template y’all shared with the computer-based visuals on it. I kept the images since they fit with my business. Is that OK. Please let me know and no fair laughing!

    • Hi MamaRed,
I love that you took action on using these templates! And yes you can use the images they are all copyright free.

      • Thanks for letting me know Hanne…I realized as I was getting so excited that I hadn’t asked about the use of the images. Whew. That means the only thing left to do is the opt in. Have a great one!

  • Beautiful templates and appreciate your clear and succinct demonstration Hanna.

Any chance of a more practical and less beautiful template that could apply to an auto shop, landscaper, builder etc?

  • Awesome! I love these new templates ♥ Thank you Hanne (and the whole Thrive Team) so much for the amazing work you are doing 🙂

  • Thanks Hanne, they look gorgeous and I have a heap of ideas for using them already! I love the colours for the health food store page and think it’s a great example

  • Thanks Hanne. This is great!
Have you uploaded them to Thrive Architect yet? I can’t find them on my list of templates.

    • Hi Tchidi,
Yes they are in the category “ThriveBiz”.
If you don’t see them, make sure to do a hard refresh (CRTL+F5) to empty cache.

  • Hi Hanne,

These are great templates. One small request, Thrive Themes must create a Landing page/ Sales page with lead generation for SaaS specifically for B2B SaaS. It will immensely help in getting targeted campaigns to get prospective customers for trials and perhaps purchasing. Thanks !

    • Hi Marcele,
They are in the Thrive Biz category. Make sure to do a hard refresh (CRTL+F5) if you don’t see them, caching might hide them.

  • Under the “our products” section – is there you would connect a shopping cart, such as WooCommerce or something similar? I don’t think I saw anything regarding that section.

  • Hi Hanne,
Thanks for all the great things you guys do for us members.
I love the new templates, however, the header images and text showing in desktop mode don’t show up in mobile mode. I have “all devices” option chosen, and nothing hidden, but the header info is missing in mobile. Am I doing something wrong? I would like to use this template for all devices.

    • Hi Dennis,

The “columns” element around the phone number and the address is set to be hidden on mobile in the template.
To change this, go to the desktop view, select the columns element (the one around the phone number and address) and then in the “responsive” menu, click on the mobile phone. https://cl.ly/2z423D1a2l2t

  • I’m sorry but I can’t find the templates in the “choose landing page” section, and I don’t know where the “ThriveBiz” category in the landing page templates cloud. Can you help??? /Marianne

      • Hi Marianne,

That’s not right for sure 🙂 And it’s most likely a caching issue.

Please make sure you’ve done the following steps:
        1) update all thrive products
        (including the theme)
        2) clear browser cache
        3) clear cache from any caching plugin
        4) clear cache from any CDN installed directly on the server

If the problem persists, you can ask our support team on the forum to help you out.

    • Hi Daniel,
These are landing pages, which means that it overwrites your exiting page. To load them, go to page setup, choose landing page template and then you can select the landing page from the library.

  • This is so wonderful guys,

Honestly, I’m so proud of the entire thrive team, you guys are simply amazing. You have really taken the Thrive Products to Zenith since it’s inception, and I pray you guys keep soaring higher and higher with the company.

Ever since I installed one of your numerous beautiful themes on one of my blogs, I have never looked back, and I am always excited each time I look at the blog because of it’s magnificent appearance, all thanks to thrive.

However, I’m planning on creating a new blog in the career niche, and I will love to use one of your themes on that project, but I can not seem to decide on exactly which of your themes will be very suitable for the career niche? And also, do you have a good homepage template for the career niche?

Please, I will really be happy if you guys can respond to this so I will know my next line of action.

    The entire thrive team rocks.

Thanks for being so awesome all these while.

    • Hi Anil,
      Happy to hear.
Not sure what you mean with “career niche” but in general I believe Rise is a theme that can work for any topic.

For the homepage, it will depend on the goal of your homepage.

If you’re looking to get people on an email list check out the hybrid homepage.

If you’re focused on content check out the content focused homepage.

  • Hanne

Was it just me, or was there a Rooster crowing in the background of this video? LOL. I was waiting for a farmer with a pitch fork to walk through your background shot, just to mess with everyone watching this video. Keep up the awesome work on templates. They save so much time, and make Thrive Themes so valuable.

  • Hi! I’m just editing the Beauty Salon template and I love it. I just wanna know how do I edit the pop-up that appears when we wanna close the site. Could you please tell me where to edit that element? Thank you very much!!

    • Hi Gisela,

Glad you like it! Go to settings (in the top left corner of the Thrive Themes editor) and click on page events. From there you can delete or edit the exit intent lightbox.

  • Loved the new Templates. Here are the few factors I consider to launch successful landing pages.

    1. Page Speed/Performance
This is often forgotten, but if your page doesn’t load in a lightning-quick, elegant way, you’ve already lost the visitor before you even have a chance to show them your great content.

    2. A Clear, Concise USP
Your USP needs to sum up what your business or product does, and it needs to do it within a few words. SO many people decorate their USP with elaborate adverbs and adjectives that just aren’t necessary.

    • All the templates are in the library. When you open a blank page and go to the “load landing page” option in the right hand bar.

  • {"email":"Email address invalid","url":"Website address invalid","required":"Required field missing"}
