How to Add a Registration Page in the SendOwl Checkout Settings

Setting up a Registration page is an important part of the “SendOwl Settings” process. When you complete the “Checkout Settings”, the first thing you have to do is to add a Registration page. 

This page is where the visitors of your website will have the possibility to either log in to their account (if they already have an account on your website), or register (if they do not have an account on your website yet). 

Once they log in or register, they will be able to continue with the next step of the purchasing process, which is buying your product and thus, getting access to your course.

There are two ways in which you can add a Registration page, when completing the “Checkout Settings”. You can either create a new page, or add an already existing one. Follow these steps to see how to do these:

Access the "Checkout Settings"

First, go to your Thrive Apprentice dashboard and click on the “Settings” section from the upper right corner of the page:

Then, click on “SendOwl Settings” in the drop down that opened:

Look for the “Checkout Settings” in the “SendOwl Settings” page and click on the “Checkout Settings” button:

Add the Registration page

The "Checkout Setting" page will be opened. This is where you can add the Registration page.

Keep in mind that you should set up a general page here, because the page you add here, will be used as the Registration Page for all your SendOwl products.

You will have to choose between the two ways of adding a Registration page:

a) Add an already existing page

In case you want to use an already existing page as the Registration page, then, click in the search box in the “Registration Page” section/tab and start typing in the name of the page that you have previously created and now want to add here:

The system will look through your pages and based on the term you have searched for a drop down will appear with the results of your search:

When you find the page that you want to add, from the drop down, click on it and in a few seconds the page will be added and set up as your Registration page.

b) Create a new page

If you want to create a new page that you want to use as the Registration page, then simply click on the “Create a new page” option which is under the search box:

A new section will appear where you can create and add the page. Enter a title for the Registration page in the "Page title" field and then, click on the “Add Page” button:

After you have done that, the new page will be created and also added as your Registration page.

Edit the Registration page

After you have added the Registration page, you will see three options appear on its right side:

You can use the "View" option to see how your Registration page looks like at the moment. Furthermore,  you can use the "Remove page" option, in case you want to delete this page and add another one instead.

The next step is to edit the page that you have just added. In order to do that, click on the "Edit with Thrive Architect" option. This will allow you to edit the page that you have just set up:

When you click on this option, you will be redirected to editing the page with Thrive Architect.

  • Thrive Architect Users

If you have already purchased and used the Thrive Architect plugin, then, the only difference between editing this page and any other page is the new “Checkout” element.

This element has been added specially for this type of page. Thus, it is only available in this case. However, using it is just as simple as using the other Thrive Architect elements.

Besides this, you can edit the page and add elements, exactly the same way as you usually do when using Thrive Architect.

  • Users who are new to Thrive Architect

Although, you have not purchased or used Thrive Architect before, you will see how easy it is to use this plugin, since it has a drag & drop interface.

First of all, you can see that a “Checkout” element has been placed on the page. You can edit this by using the left sidebar options that appear after you click on the “Checkout” element.

Furthermore, you can edit the page, add more elements and customize them. In order to do this, first, click on the plus sign from the right sidebar and then, drag & drop the elements to your page.

Landing Page Templates

If you want an even quicker way of having a nice-looking Registration page, then you can use one of the Landing Page Templates that are available in Thrive Architect for this type of page.

Using such a template will save you time, because you will not have to edit the page from scratch. All you need to do is to customize the template according to your preferences.

In order to use a Landing Page you will have to click on the “Change Template” option, which is the second one from the right sidebar:

A pop-up window will open, containing the templates that you can choose from:

After you have chosen the template you want, simply click on the "Choose Template" button and you will see that it will be applied to your page.

Note: Please keep in mind that when you apply a template to your Registration page, the changes that you have made on the page thus far will be replaced by the new template.

Then, you can customize the Landing Page template to your liking. When you are done, save the page.
