How to Use the Comment Sign-In Feature

The Comment Sign-In feature can allow guests to comment on your website, using their Social Media accounts (Facebook, Google).

To start using this feature, you need to access the Thrive Comments Dashboard > Comment Sign-In:

The first option inside the Comment Sign-In feature can allow guests to insert their website URL, as well, when posting a comment: 

In this way, when posting a comment, guests will need to type in their website URL, as well, along with their name and email address:

Moving forward, you can enable the social sign-in feature by moving the switch to "On":

This is how the social sign-in works: You need to set up an API Connection both with Facebook and Google. Check out this article to find out how to set up these connections. 

Below the social sign-in switch, you will see the status of your API Connections. If they're not set up, they will look like this: 

To set up a connection, select the desired social network "Click to set up" button. This will send you to the Active Connections page from the Thrive Dashboard, a place where all your active API connections will be displayed. 

To properly set up a connection, don't forget to follow the steps presented in this tutorial for Facebook and Google.

After you have set up the API Connections, the social sign-in status will look like this: 

If you click on one of the connections, it will be disabled. Click it again, and it will be enabled (This means that, if the connections are established, they can also be turned off at any time).

Now, when the connections are enabled, the guests will be able to post comments by easily logging into their Social Media account: 

With a simple click, a Facebook / Google pop-up window will show up, allowing your guests to type in their Social Media credentials.
