The “Category” Quiz Type
The "Category" quiz evaluation type consists in the fact that the result the visitor will see, based on how he responds to the questions in the quiz, is one of the categories that you will be able to see in this article how to set up.
This is useful when you have a finite list of results. An example might be a "What's your personality type?" quiz. The results set might be:-
Here there are only two results that the user can get from going through the quiz. We call each results a "category".
Once you have added a new quiz, and given it a name, in Thrive Quiz Builder, the step 1/4 will require you to select a quiz type:
By clicking either on the "Choose Type" button or on the black background description, you will be sent to the "Quiz Evaluation Type" window, where we will select, in this case, the "Category" quiz type:
After you have chosen the "Category" quiz type, you can go on and click on the "Continue" button. This will lead you to a window in which you will need to set up the actual categories of your quiz:
The next step where the quiz type plays its part is the step 3/4, where you have to set up your questions and answers.
In order to get started you will first need to add a question:
Afterwards, select either one of the question types:
Once you have selected a question type, you will have to add a question, one or more answers, and also, assign a category to each of the answers, and determine how much the answer weighs for that category, by giving it a numeric value:
This way, after a user finishes your quiz, a success message will appear on his screen and will show him in which category he fits, based on the answers he gave during the quiz:
