If you want to display comments on your WordPress posts or pages or, on the contrary, if you want to have them removed from your posts or pages, you can do so in several easy steps.

Post comments

In order to make sure the post's comments are shown, you first have to go to the "Settings" section of your WordPress admin dashboard and click on "Discussion”:

In the window that opens, make sure the option called "Allow people to submit comments on new posts" is selected:

Before exiting this window, don't forget to press the "Save Changes" button:

Then, go to your posts dashboard, choose one and click on "Edit" :

Now, in the right sidebar, look for the "Discussion" section and click on it:

In the extended menu, make sure the "Allow comments" option is checked:

If, on the other hand, you want to turn off the comments, then you can just follow the same steps as described above, but instead of enabling them, you would have to make sure they are unchecked.

Page comments

For enabling or disabling page comments, go to the "Thrive Dashboard" section, click on "Theme Options":

In the new window that appears on the screen, click on the "Comments" section and make sure this option is turned "On":

Alternatively, if you don't want to have the comments displayed, make sure to keep this box switched "Off".

If you do decide to keep this option turned on, then go to the editor of any WordPress page, and click on the "Discussion" section:

And then make sure to select the "Allow comments" option:

This is how you can turn on/off the comments on your posts or pages. If you want to read more about our Thrive Themes products and features make sure to check out the rest of our Knowledge Base articles.
