How to Use the Content Box Short Code

 Important!
Please note that our Legacy Themes have been replaced by new Thrive Theme Builder Themes. While our Legacy Themes are still functional, we are no longer actively developing them. Check out this course to find out how to switch your site to Thrive Theme Builder.

The "Content Box" is now an element on its own, you can check out  this article to find out more about it.

In the default WordPress editor, click on the Thrive Short Code button and select “Content Box” from the drop down menu:

shortcode-contentbox-1

It will open a simple settings menu:

shortcode-contentbox-2

1) Color

Choose the color for your content box. There are 9 color choices in each theme, each carefully chosen to match the overall theme design.

2) Headline

Here, you can add a headline to the content box. This field is optional. You can think of each content box coming in two variations: one with and one without a headline. Simply leave this field blank to use the no-headline version of the box.

Click on the “insert” button to add the short code to your content. You will see the short code inserted like this:

[thrive_text_block color='blue' headline='Lorem Ipsum'][/thrive_text_block]

Add whatever content you want inside the box between the two bracketed parts. Here:

[thrive_text_block color='blue' headline='Lorem Ipsum']INSERT YOUR CONTENT HERE[/thrive_text_block]

Note that you can add anything inside a content box, including column layouts, buttons, headers, other content boxes etc.
