The user interface of the "Lead Generation" element has been upgraded!
Please, check out the changes here, before using the element.

See two examples of lead generation pages built, along with instructions about what conversion and design principles to follow.

I recommend you view the video in fulls-screen mode (button in the bottom right of the video player).

  • Terry Mason says:

Shane, just wanted to let you know that I really enjoy seeing your emails come in. The material covered is always informative and I can relate to how you deliver your message. I’ve included you on my short list of those who I’m entertained by and learn from… you, Frank Kern, Andy Jenkins and Mike F., Ryan Deiss, Russell Brunson, Mike Koenig… thank you all.

    • Shane Melaugh says:

      Thank you very much, Terry!

Although I have to say that I don’t want to be associated with many of the names you listed… these guys run their businesses very differently from the way I do (and from what I consider a good way to run a business). I know many of them are very charismatic and convincing but please keep your guard up.

  • Shane,

Great info as always! Nice to know what a pro like you is using for their video and audio.

    All the best,

  • Steve Cockrane says:

    Shane & Paul,
Yet another great webinar. After watching all 3 webinars I am. blown away by just how powerful Thrive Themes and TCB are individually, but in combination you guys have put together the best WordPress editing/design system by far.
I’ve used other premium themes such as Thesis and what you guys have built is just so much better.
In watching the webinars I have realised I have barely scratched the surface of the power of Thrive Themes and TCB.
These webinars are the best teaching tools, please keep them coming!

    • Shane Melaugh says:

Thank you very much, Steve! It’s great to get feedback like this from someone who’s used other systems as well.

  • glenda says:

Shane – as always your teaching is clear and concise making it a pleasure to follow. No need to keep my guard up with you – you are a shining beacon of integrity in a sometimes murky online world.

Oh, and you make great products too!

  • Xenia says:

Would have LOVED to hear the Q and A.
Awesome anyway 🙂 Thank you Shane

    • Shane Melaugh says:

      Hello Xenia,

Usually I either transcribe the Q&A part or upload it as an audio. In this case, the Q&A was quite short and consisted of questions that I feel were very specific to the attendees who asked them, which is why there’s no Q&A on this page.

If you want to make sure to always catch the Q&A, the best thing is to attend live, though. 🙂

  • dawood says:

    Hello shane,
Just watched the webinar video above,
    one thing i ask you,
could you include for us a 2 – step sign up button,
or is it a 3 – step up button?? just like the ones in saw on ryan deiss and also i see it on current leadpages….
    we shall be very happy.
    otherwise nice work.
    about to buy yo product.

    • Shane Melaugh says:

A 2-step opt-in feature is in development, yes. We’re making a very powerful and flexible 2-step system so it will take a while before it’s ready. But it will be worth the wait.

  • Michael O says:

    Hello Shane,
Like others have already mentioned; from watching the webinar, I’ve barely scratched the surface of what your software is capable of.
    Excellent tutorial as usual.
One quick question: I’ve just made a landing page using your guide but I’m not sure where to display it in my blog.
Should I set it to have a static front page or maybe a re-direct.
    Your input will be appreciated,

    • Shane Melaugh says:

      Hello Michael,

If you set it as a homepage, you shouldn’t strip away all the navigation like in the examples here. But yes, that’s an option. You can also link to it from your navigation. On imimpact, I link to various landing pages from my navigation under the menu item “Free Stuff”. You could even create a call-to-action Focus Area and link to the landing page then someone clicks on the button.

We’ll do another training webinar where we go into more detail about the many ways in which you can integrate opt-in stuff on your site.

      • Michael O says:

        Hi Shane,
        Thanks for your advice.
I look forward to your training webinar showing the various options for integration.
It’s something that has always confused me.

  • Adrian B says:

Thanks for another very informative webinar, Shane.

I’ve recently converted my business site (boldinternet.co.uk) over to Thrive Themes (Focus) having used Thesis previously and just love the easy of use and functionality, especially when combined with Thrive Content Builder.

The fact that you also back this up with top notch support just makes this the obvious choice for a pro WordPress theme.

    • Shane Melaugh says:

Thank you very much, Adrian. That’s really great to hear and I’m very happy that you are getting along so well with our themes. If there’s anything you think we could further improve, please let us know (for example in the forums), as we’re always looking for ways to improve and fine-tune the products.

  • Hui Tzy L says:

    Hi Shane

Bought your plugin instantly after watching the sales video! I’m currently testing the features with the Individual license but will soon update to Agency’s.

Anyway, I don’t find the Lead Generation feature available in my elements, is this not yet available?

    – Hui-Tzy (Hazel)

    • Shane Melaugh says:

      Thank you, Hui!

The lead generation element is still in beta testing right now, but it won’t be long before it’s released for all TCB users. 🙂

  • Liz P says:

Hi Shane, I have recently purchased the thrive visual editor and just love it. I am doing a training program with Ryan Deiss who promotes a leadpages because they use an api to link to aweber which means there is no double optin – is this something you are looking into?

    • Shane Melaugh says:

      Hello Liz,

Yes, we do plan to add API support at some point in the future. However, I don’t see the connection to the confirmed opt-in: as far as I know, that’s just a list-level option in Aweber and if you want to have unconfirmed opt-ins you can just change that setting in your list and it won’t matter how your subscribers sign up.

  • Ian R says:

Shane-I brand new to wordpress. I honestly was so intimidated to start a site, I was about to give up. I cannot tell you how thankful I am for coming across Thrive. This stuff just makes sense. Thank you.

  • Dawood M says:

    Hello Shane,
so u have a split testing mechanism built inside these landing pages???
just like the way for thrive leads???

    • Shane Melaugh says:

      Hello Dawood,

No, we don’t have a testing feature for the landing pages yet. We will add this as a feature later in the year, though.

      • Frank J says:

        Hello Shane,

Back in February, you mentioned split testing was a planned feature for later in the year, it’s now October. How is the development of this feature coming along? I’m really looking forward to the update.

      • Shane Melaugh says:

Plans have changed, in the meantime. We will still create a native A/B testing feature, but it will be part of a different product and that’s more likely going to be released in Q1 2016.

      • Rudolf W says:

We are in Q2 2016 and I would desperately need that feature now starting to build my landing pages. Can you tell more about the new product and when it will be ready so we can estimate if it is worth the wait?

  • Zakir H says:

Hi how do i make my landing page my home page?

  • Steve Turton says:

Hi Guys, all the best to you on Thanksgiving. Can you please advise in your opinion which is the best theme to use for video content? I am changing from text based to video and want to start off correctly. I also understand you can initially set up a home page too, is this correct?

  • Ainga R says:

When the split-tests tools will be available ?

  • Rudolf W says:

Landing pages, as beautiful and converting they may be, feel like a racing car without engine not having a good way to split test them. Why not giving us a quick fix by adding parts of the already developed code of thrive lead forms to the landing pages so you can buy more time to fully develop your next awesome product?

  • John E says:

This third video made an awesome learning base for me to make websites from. I have never been able to get this information until now. Thanks for your clearly expressed ideas and business and working ethic!

  • Kristin G says:

Thank you, that was very helpful! Can´t wait, to create my first Landingpages…

  • Robert B says:

Hi Shane, Im a beginner but never afraid to try new skills. I feel out of my depth and only attempting a simple landing page for an insurance lead gen site. Tied up in knots after only 48 hours… wondering whether I should just use wordpress instead without Thrive. Please help?

  • Robert Reece says:

Hey guys. Great stuff here. I am so liking thrive. I have a question. I am trying to make my home page an optin page. However I don’t have the option to edit it for some reason. I would like to have people land on my page with a video and optin form then a pop up optin if they try and leave. Any way to get help with this?

  • kevhancothrive says:

All very exciting, however having to sit through 60+ minutes of video to get something I could read in 3 is boring. I understand videos are where it is at nowadays but not everyone appreciates it. Transcripts are useful. If this is all the training there is I am likely to pass on the entire product.

  • kevhancothrive says:

I am looking for a way to start with this plugin. All I want. 5 minutes in and I have learned nothing. How to – step by step. all I want. seriously this is crap. I understand this is being moderated so unlikely to be seen by anyone, that is Ok you need to hear this. Seriously this is crap.

  • Marzio says:

Shane, is thrive landing pages compatible with the Thesis theme? thanks

  • Maryellen J says:

Hi Shane, thanks for the video, I would like to know how can I access the thrive rise theme sales page. I have been searching, obviously in the wrong place for the past hour! can you please help.
