Available “When” Options
- Open a form and select its Display Rules tab.
- Look at the When section. What you see here depends on the form’s type.
For an In-Content form, When is a simple choice between two options:
- Show on page load: the form appears immediately when the page finishes loading.
- Show when in viewport: the form appears once the visitor scrolls it into view.
For overlay-style forms like Ribbon, Popup, Fullscreen, and Slide In, When instead gives you three toggles, and you switch on the one you want to use:
- Time Delay: show the form immediately on page load, or after a custom delay in seconds.
- Scroll Distance: show the form after the visitor scrolls a specific percentage down the page.
- Bottom of the page: show the form when the visitor reaches the bottom of the page.
Controlling How Often the Form Reappears
- For overlay-style forms, use the Display Frequency dropdown below the When section to control how often a visitor sees the form again after dismissing it: All the time, Once a day, or After some days.
This replaces the old 0/X-day frequency setting, and it’s still the setting to use if you want to avoid “popup fatigue” from showing a form to the same visitor too often.
Frequently Asked Questions
What happened to Exit Intent and click-to-open triggers?
They were not found on the In-Content or Ribbon form types when this article was checked against the redesigned plugin. If you relied on Exit Intent (SmartExit) or turning a link/button into a click trigger, verify directly in your form’s Display Rules tab before assuming the behavior is gone — it may still exist on a form type not covered here, such as Popup.
Does every form type have a Display Frequency setting?
No. In-Content forms don’t have one, since they display inline with your content instead of reappearing as an overlay. Ribbon forms do have it.
