Add Responsive Wistia Videos in Thrive Content Builder!

In our latest release, we've made a new addition to the responsive video element in our Content Builder. If you use Wistia to host your marketing videos (which we recommend warmly), it's now easier than ever to add those videos to your content.

Watch the video to see how simple this new integration is.

This feature is part of the Responsive Video element which you can use in Thrive Content Builder, Thrive Landing Pages and Thrive Leads.

Here's an example of a Wistia video embedded through the new element, with some fancy extras added:

Let us know your thoughts about this new addition! And as always, if you have any questions or suggestions, please leave a comment below.

    Great addition to ThriveThemes Shane.

Any plans on supporting Amazon S3 videos?

    • Shane Melaugh says:

We don’t have plans for that, currently. You can use the native video player in WordPress to display self-hosted videos, though. Those are responsive by default, as well.

  • Sam says:

Great addition Shane, I use Wistia already and now I can incorporate them in to my Thrive Landing Pages and Thrive Leads.

  • Debra says:

Very nice! Easy to use and nice customization options. I’ve already gone ahead and set up 10 of my Wistia videos on my website with this new feature.

  • Mark says:

    Truly fantastic as always Shane!

This, with your other new import/export feature for landing pages, not to mention all of your other constant goodies, I’m starting to run out of superlatives to describe you, your team, and your overall total awesomeness!!

Thanks so much Shane! I’ve been waiting for this one as I’m a big Wistia user.

One suggestion, is there any way to add the “popup” video feature as an option using this? I’ve been manually adding the Wistia videos to my site and implementing the script code on the page, which works fine. Just didn’t know if this is something that can be integrated in the responsive video options.

Thanks again for everything! You guys ROCK.

    • Shane Melaugh says:

      Hi Chris,

I agree that having the pop-up style video would be cool. I’m not sure if it fits this video element, though.

I’ll take a look at this with our developers, to see what we can do.

  • Justin Shane says:

Thanks Shane! I learn something of value from every article you post…

Always well done and very effective. I pay attention to the way you style
your content and frame your thoughts. You have a talent for pulling the
reader through the content in a meaningful way and your videos are
spot on, to the point and easy to consume.

  • Tim says:

Hi is Wistia hooked up with Thrive Architect? All our Wistia links with our online training went dead when we last updated content builder. Thank you.

    • Shane Melaugh says:

      Hello Tim,

Very sorry to hear that. We still integrate with Wistia for videos, yes. What you describe must be a bug or conflict. If you haven’t yet, please create a ticket in the support forum, for this. Thanks!
