Building Tagged Answers in Thrive Quiz Builder

The “Tag” feature from Thrive Quiz Builder allows you to add one or more tags to each of the answers from the questions editor.

The main purpose of building tagged answers is to achieve a deeper segmentation. These tags will be automatically added to your mailing list if you have connected your opt-in gate to a mailing service.

The opt-in form can be also found on your “Results Page“. Most importantly, it needs to be connected to a mailing service that supports tags.

Important!

Not all mailing services support tags. Here are some of the services that support tagging:

How to Add Tags to Answers

First of all, in order to add tags to your answers, access the questions editor from your quiz page:

Add a new question and choose a type, and then you will be able to see the tagging options in the pop-up that opens:

As you can see, you can choose if you want to add tags to your answers, or not. If you enable the tagged answers, you can add them in the corresponding field:

If you want to add multiple tags to an answer, press the “Enter” key after adding a tag. You can add a maximum amount of 5 tags per each answer of your quiz.

Important!

Tags can be added both on a new quiz and also on older quizzes. In this way, you simply have to start editing a question and add tags to one or more answers.

Connect the Tags to Your Mailing Service

The tagged answers can help you achieve a deeper segmentation within your mailing list. In this way, you can split your users into different specific categories, depending on the answers they have given on each question of your quiz.

In order to send the tags to your mailing list, you need to make sure that your opt-in gate is connected to a mailing service, you can find out how to set it up, here.

The tags which you assign to an answer will be automatically sent to your mailing list, only if your visitor has opted-in on your form found either on the opt-in gate or on the “Results Page”.

Also, if you connect your opt-in gate or your results page form to Active Campaign, for example, you will be able to assign a tag to each visitor that has signed up on that form, but these tags will be additional to the ones assigned to the answers.
