Would you like precise control over exactly where a Lead Group’s forms are allowed to appear? In this guide, we will walk you through every tab in the Group conditions screen in Thrive Leads, including including and excluding locations, device visibility, and importing a saved condition set. All you need is a Lead Group already created in Thrive Leads.
Opening Group Conditions
You can reach the same Group conditions screen from two places: click Group conditions next to any Lead Group on the My Forms page, or click Edit conditions on the Lead Group tab while creating or editing a form that belongs to that group. Either entry point opens the same screen and applies to every form in the group.
- Go to Thrive Leads » My Forms.
- Click Group conditions next to the Lead Group you want to configure.

Choosing Where Forms Are Included
The Include forms in section controls where the group’s forms are allowed to appear at all. It has its own row of tabs for different targeting methods.
- On the Basic settings tab, check any combination of Front Page, All Posts, All Pages, Blog Index, 404 Error Page, or Search Page.
- Click the Categories etc tab to target by taxonomy instead.

- Use the Categories or Symbols toggle at the top of this tab to switch which taxonomy you are browsing, then check the specific terms you want to include.
- Click the Posts tab to include specific individual posts.

- Type into the Search Posts field to find a specific post, then select it from the results.
- Click the Pages tab to include specific individual pages the same way.

- Check individual pages in the list, or use Select all in the top corner to include every page at once.
- Click the Post Types tab to include forms on entire custom post types instead of individual entries.

- Check any custom post type you want the group’s forms to appear on.
Choosing Where Forms Are Excluded
The Exclude forms from section sits below Include forms in and mirrors the same tabs, letting you rule out specific locations even if they would otherwise match an include rule.
- Click Exclude forms from to expand the section.

- Use the same Basic settings, Categories etc, Posts, Pages, Page Templates, Post Types, Archived Pages, and Other tabs to check anything you want excluded.
Setting Device Visibility
- Click Device visibility to expand it, then choose which devices (such as desktop, tablet, or mobile) the group’s forms are allowed to display on.
Importing a Saved Condition Set
If you have already built a set of conditions you use across multiple Lead Groups, you can import it instead of rebuilding it by hand.
- Click Import Conditions in the top right corner of the Group conditions screen.

- Use the search field to find a saved condition set by name, or scroll the list below it.
- Click Import next to the condition set you want to apply to this Lead Group.
Saving Your Changes
- Once your conditions are set, click Save Conditions in the top right corner.
That’s it! You now know how to control exactly where a Lead Group’s forms can and cannot appear. Next, take a look at how to use Lead Groups in Thrive Leads for a wider look at managing the forms and A/B tests inside each group.
