Make Thrive Theme Builder Work Properly – Troubleshooting

Have you encountered an error when installing the Thrive Theme Builder or unexpected behavior when using it? There may be different reasons for you to experience this.

In this article, we’ll see the common solutions you can try to troubleshoot any unexpected issues you face while using the Thrive Theme Builder.

Here are some recommended common checks to be performed on your website:

  • The version of the plugin installed on your website
  • WordPress and PHP versions on your website
  • Any existing plugin conflicts
  • Any cache saved by a cache plugin
  • Cache or minify option for CSS or JavaScript files
  • The need to whitelist our IP addresses

Checking the Version of the Plugin on Your Website

Depending on the needs, every plugin release may bring new features, improvements, or security fixes. Therefore, ensuring you have the latest version of plugins on your website is important.

To ensure you have the latest version of the plugins and theme, open your WordPress admin area and check whether you see a notification beside Updates.

If you see a notification (a number within a red circle), you need to update plugins and themes on your website. The number in the red circle indicates the number of updates required.

If you do not see a number, click on Updates in the WordPress admin area and click the Check Again link on the Updates page.

Clicking the Click Again button will force check updates for the plugins and themes being used on your website.

Checking WordPress and PHP Versions on Your Website

For Thrive Theme Builder to work properly, your website must have at least a WordPress version of 5.0 and a PHP version of 7.4+. If your WordPress or PHP version is lower than these, please install/update to a newer version.

Ruling Out Plugin Conflicts

Every plugin is made by a different developer, and over a thousand WordPress plugins are available. Therefore, testing Thrive Theme Builder with every plugin available is difficult.

Sometimes, you may encounter a plugin conflict while using Thrive Theme Builder and a third-party plugin.

To identify the plugin causing the conflict, start by deactivating each and keeping them that way for a while. Then, check whether the issue persists after deactivating each plugin.

Note: To rule out a plugin conflict, you only need to deactivate the plugins for a few minutes; you do not have to leave them deactivated.

If deactivating one of your plugins has solved the issue, please contact the respective plugin’s customer support team and let them know.

Clearing the Cache of Cache Plugins

A saved cache may sometimes cause conflicts on a website. Therefore, it is important to clear caches regularly.

If you are using cache plugins like W3 Total Cache or WP Fastest Cache, clear/purge their caches to ensure that caching is not the cause of the problem.

Enabling Cache or Minification for CSS or JavaScript Files

The caching and/or the enabled minify options for CSS and JavaScript files can also cause the errors/issues you are encountering. Therefore, disabling these is worth a try.

Go to your caching plugin(s) and try to disable the caching and/or the minification options for CSS and JavaScript files to see if that solves the problem.

Whitelisting Our IP Addresses

A user’s server may often block requests from our server. To see if this is the case, you can ask your web hosting company to whitelist the following IP addresses:

  • 34.120.31.4
  • 50.28.48.163
  • 95.216.2.61

If the IP addresses were the cause of the error/issue, then whitelisting them will solve the matter.

If you have tried all of the above steps and the error/issue persists, contact our support team, who will try to resolve the matter as soon as possible.
