You asked for it, we built it. Our latest addition to the Thrive Leads plugin is an API integration with the arpReach autoresponder system.
Watch the video for a quick tutorial on how to set up the connection.

What sets arpReach apart is that it is a self-hosted email marketing system (i.e. you install it on your own server) and it integrates with 3rd-party solutions like Amazon SES or SendGrid for the sending of emails.
You can learn more about arpReach here.
This isn't the first addition we've made to the list of tools Thrive Leads integrates with. Here's a view of all the email marketing and webinar services we already support:

Hi Shane, just checking.
you’ve provided a really nice integration allowing me to handle all autoresponders within my web site, cool.
arpReach instals on my own server, and I can also use my server to send emails (is that feasible to start?) and/or use a service like Amazon SES after, cool.
To utilise arpReach I will need to buy the Gold plan since the API Access is not ticked on the Standard plan?
Using MailChimp, and the list of other services have already been implemented, it’s just that arpReach is allowing us to instal on our own server and handle everything in-house.
Did I get it 🙂 Fabulous and nice !
John
Yep, that’s it. arpReach is self hosted and you have to integrate it with an email sending service of some sort. Sending from your own server is really nothing but a shortcut to getting your emails caught in spam filters, so I don’t recommend it.
Shane, I have a question regarding arpReach. I’ve watched the video and you said that it’s self-hosted, is it better than let’s say GetResponse?
I’ve been using their email marketing platform for a while and I really like them, however, I’d love to know more about this arpReach do you have a review or something like that I can either watch or read?
Thank you for work,
Jonathan Nuñez
Hello Jonathan,
Thanks for your comment! I wouldn’t say that this is better or worse than GetResponse. They are two different solutions and one or the other might be a better fit for you. Keep in mind that with arpReach, you still need a (subscription) service for taking care of the email sending, as you can’t send at volume from your own server.
Hi Shane, so, to integrating thrive leads and arpreach need an API access?
In the other words, if I dont have API access from arpreach, I cant integrate with thrive leads?
You can still use the HTML form integration method if you don’t have or don’t want to use the API feature in arpReach.
Hi Shane.
I am so super excited I invested in Thrive Themes, super AWESOME!
My arpReach installation is at [hidden by admin]
However, when I try to connect to arpReach using the URLs I’ve tried, it keeps telling me that it can’t connect. I have populated the API key and Autoresponder fields as instructed in the video tutorial.
Please can you advise what could be the issue.
Thanks
Hello Chris – the guys at ArpReach told us to refer you to this article:- http://support.arpreach.com/support/solutions/articles/4000063280-api-connection-issue-build-1-4-003
I’m not sure what version you’re using, but apparently this issue can occur if you’re not using the latest version.
Thanks Paul for the feedback.
I realised after I posted that I should check the support forum here, which I did and found the solution.
I use the latest version of arpReach and I installed the patch and configured the API with ThriveLeads and everything is working peachy.
Awesome you guys integrate with arpReach. My investment in Thrive has proven to be the right decision.
Thanks to all at Thrive Themes, You guys are AWESOME!
I did my first test, I’ve been using both your products for a long while using the HTML integration. The API connects, but when I try to add a test customer, the error log says “Email: [email protected]
ArpReach 2015-10-11 01:44:31 Contact already exists” — which is true for the SYSTEM but that email does not exist in the specific autoresponder being integrated with. It may be that you need to make an additional call if the subscriber already exists to add them to the specific autoresponder? The error was recorded in the error log but not reported to the customer. The customer was redirected to the thank you page.
I really do appreciate you adding arpReach and hope this can make the solution more reliable once this is addressed.
Thanks Rick – I’ll log this with the devs and make sure that we take care of this.
I’ve connected arp reach but the status of the subscribers state is paused and the subscriber doesn’t receive any confirmation mail or followup mail. Solutions?
Please post in the support forum and our techs will solve the issue that you’re having: https://www.thrivethemes.com/forums
Hey Shane, I am trying to connect with ArpReach, and have followed the instructions exactly, and it does not seem to want to connect. Can you please look into changes that may have been made since version 1.5 has come out?
Thanks in advance!
David
Hi,
Video says “autoresponder name”, but plug-in says “List ID” now. What’s the list ID? How do I find that information in arpReach?
