Our first release of the year showcases several new features – with two of them having been at the top of our “most-requested” list (and now they’re here)! Our team has been busy working on meaningful improvements that make your websites more powerful and your workflows smoother.
In this update, you'll discover how we've added BlueSky Social to our social media elements, expanded our Zapier integration with custom field mappings, brought Independent Analytics into our set of integrations, and introduced a smart new Country/State form field that's going to make collecting location data a total breeze.
Each of these updates came directly from your feedback and requests, and we're excited to show you how they'll help you build better websites and connect more effectively with your audience.
Let's dive into what's new and see these features in action!
1. New “Country” Form Field for Thrive Forms
We’re excited to share another highly-requested feature: a custom Country/State field to help you better understand your audience – and make your segmenting even smarter.
The new country/state field brings something refreshingly simple yet practical to Thrive Themes forms. At its heart, it's a clean dropdown menu listing countries for your visitors to choose from.
And if you want to get more specific? You can enable a second field for states/provinces that automatically adapts to whatever country was selected. And it’s an easy setup in Thrive Architect.
In the left sidebar (in Thrive Architect or Thrive Leads), when editing your “Country” form field, you’ll find a toggle to enable or disable the “State” field.
Once you’ve enabled this field, the “Select State” field will appear on your forms. Just like this:
What makes this so useful is its simplicity. Your visitors simply click, select their country from the dropdown, and if you've enabled the state field, they'll see another dropdown with all the relevant regions for their country. No typing required, no room for errors – just quick, accurate location selection.
Include or Exclude Specific Countries From Your Forms
There are a lot of countries in the dropdown menu, and that's great. But we know that there are businesses out there that need more control over which countries appear. That's why we've made customizing the list simple. You can either:
Include a specific set of countries to your list. Simply select the “Only Countries” option in your form field’s settings:
Choose your desired countries from the dropdown list or type them into the provided field:
When you save your changes, your form will update automatically – it’s as easy as that.
This works for excluding specific countries, too. If you want to exclude certain countries from your form, like Antarctica for example, simply select the “Without Countries” option in your form field settings:
Select the excluded countries from the list or type in the name of the country in the provided field and voila. It won’t show up on your form’s dropdown list.
This flexibility helps you:
Streamline Your Business with This Simple Field
The country and state picker is the kind of practical feature that might seem small but adds up to something significant: better conversion rates. Why? Because when you make forms easier to fill out, more people complete them. And over time, this simple improvement can make a real difference to your bottom line.
For you, it means getting accurate location data without any fuss. For your visitors, it means no more wondering how to format their location or typing out long country and state names - just quick, accurate selections that keep them moving through your forms.
Think about running an online coaching business.
You might discover that 40% of your clients are from Australia – information you'd never have known without this field. Now you can plan your live coaching calls (and free consultations) at times that work for your Australian audience, instead of accidentally scheduling them at 3 AM their time!
It's also incredibly useful for ecommerce. Imagine you're selling handmade jewelry. With the country/state field, you can:
Send region-specific promotions (like special offers for your Canadian customers during Canadian Thanksgiving)
Understand which states or countries are ordering most, so you can tailor your marketing
…and so much more
These are just a few examples of how you can use this simple field to make smarter business decisions. The possibilities really depend on your specific needs - from scheduling and shipping to marketing and customer service.
Ready to Put This to Work?
The new Country/State field is available now in all Thrive Forms (Thrive Architect and Thrive Leads). Just look for it in your form elements - it's right there waiting to help you better understand and serve your audience.
Whether you're using it to:
...you'll find it's one of those simple additions that brings a lot of value to your business.
2. Lead Generation Form Field to Zapier Connection
You asked (quite a lot, actually), and we delivered! We're excited to announce that custom form fields in your Thrive forms can now be mapped directly to Zapier – a feature that's consistently topped our feature request list.
About Zapier
If you're new to Zapier, think of it as a bridge that connects different apps and automates your workflow.
When someone fills out a form on your website, for example, Zapier can automatically send that information wherever you need it to go – your CRM, email marketing platform, spreadsheets, or any of the thousands of apps it works with.
When a lead fills out your form, Zapier could automatically add them to your email marketing list, create a new contact in your CRM, add their details to a Google Sheet, notify you on Slack, or create a task in your project management tool – all without you lifting a finger.
And now, with our improved Zapier integration, you can send over any custom information you collect in your forms. This means if you're asking for specific details like "Company Size" or "Budget Range," that information will flow seamlessly into your other tools, helping you automate more of your business processes.
When creating forms in Thrive Leads, you've always had the ability to add custom fields beyond the standard name and email - things like phone numbers, company size, or any other information valuable to your business. The limitation was that these custom fields couldn't be properly transferred to other applications through Zapier. That changes today.
Here's what this means for you:
With this update, you can now use that data exactly how you need it. Let's say you're running a catering business and your form asks for "Name," "Email," and "Number of Guests."
Zapier can automatically:
Create a new lead in your CRM with the guest count, helping your team prepare appropriate quotes
If it's a smaller event (10-20 guests), route it to your small events team
For larger events (50+ guests), instantly notify your premium catering coordinator
Add the contact to different email sequences based on event size, sending relevant menu options and pricing packages
All this happens automatically the moment someone submits your form – no manual data entry, no copying and pasting between tools, just smooth automation working exactly how you want it to.
This new connection between your forms and your favorite apps opens up real possibilities for your marketing.
Whether you're segmenting your audience, personalizing follow-ups, or qualifying leads, you can now capture and route exactly the information you need.
3. New Social Elements for BlueSky Social
Great news for all our Thrive Architect users! We've added BlueSky Social to our collection of social media elements, making it even easier to connect with your audience on this rapidly growing platform.
With BlueSky Social's user base skyrocketing to over 27.44 million registered users as of January 2025, it's becoming an increasingly important channel for digital marketers and content creators.
Now you can:
Whether you're building a sleek landing page or crafting an engaging blog post, you'll find the new Bluesky icons right where you need them - in both our Social Share and Social Follow elements inside Thrive Architect.
No extra plugins needed, no custom icons, no code required - just drag, drop, and connect with the Bluesky community!
4. New Integration: Thrive Themes x Independent Analytics
Looking for a simple, privacy-focused way to track your website visitors? Our new integration with Independent Analytics is here, and it's refreshingly straightforward.
Independent Analytics is built for website owners who want clear data about their traffic without getting lost in complex dashboards or worrying about visitor privacy. No cookie banners needed, no complicated setup process - just clean, useful insights about how people interact with your website.
Here's what you get with this integration:
For everyone who's been looking for a simpler way to understand their website traffic, this integration offers exactly that. And now, you can easily do the same from your Thrive website!
