New Theme Release: Pressive

Today we are pleased to announce the latest addition to our theme offering.  Pressive

Pressive is a beautifully designed theme with an impressive array of shortcodes, landing pages and a number of new features that you've never seen before in any of our previous themes.

Just like to be the first to say it’s imPressive, the roll out takes my breath away… we are in impressive company.

    • Shane Melaugh says:

      Thank you, John!

  • Mark says:

What I absolutely love about Thrive themes is that you don’t just release a new theme for the sake of it. Each one always has something about it that makes it unique and specific for a particular purpose. Rather than a few minor tweaks to the look, you ALWAYS add in something extra, a new feature, a new control or a new method of presenting content.

You guys really do push the boundaries and stay out in front.

    Well done again.

    • Shane Melaugh says:

      Thank you, Mark!

I actually have a long term plan to make themes even more purpose-specific. We’ll have to see how things develop and what our customers tell us about it, though.

But yes, we generally make a deliberate choice to build a theme with a certain purpose in mind, rather than just creating something new or gimmicky for the sake of it.

  • Corrado I says:

    The Excellence Continues…Great Work!!!

    • Shane Melaugh says:

      Thank you, Corrado!

  • Al H. says:

Agree with John, simply gorgeous, follows all the principles you’ve taught us – every time I see a new release I wonder how you’ll beat it in the next one but you guys keep doing it! So glad i purchased the membership :)

    • Shane Melaugh says:

      Hi Al,

I really love this one as well, yes. It shows that everyone on the team is gradually improving their skills and that’s something I want to keep up.

  • Kendrick says:

It’s rare that I get any email with a link that I am this excited to click through and see what’s on the other side. And as usual, this was no disappointment… even BETTER than usual. Just outstanding. :)

    • Shane Melaugh says:

      Thank you very much, Kendrick!

  • Detlev says:

In a nutshell, Shane, this looks like a masterpiece to me.
I had a look at the demosite and am really impressed. It is possibly my favorite Thrive Theme so far.
Not just do you create great looking themes but the short codes you integrated, oh my!!
I have an idea where to use this theme but there is other stuff to be taken care of first. Looking forward to it :)
    Great job, guys!!

    • Shane Melaugh says:

Thank you, Detlev! I agree with you and I think Pressive is the best theme we’ve created so far. We’ll try to de-throne it with our next one. :)

  • chris says:

I will be making the change on our website, despite the fear I have that it will involve a lot of work. This theme looks great.

    • Shane Melaugh says:

Thanks, Chris! Hopefully, the theme switch won’t be too time consuming. If you’re switching from another Thrive Theme, almost everything will work right out of the box. :)

  • Cynthia Morgan says:

Been looking for just such a theme for days and here it is delivered on a virtual silver platter!

    • Shane Melaugh says:

Happy to be of service, Cynthia!

  • Lisa Wiebold says:

Each new release tempts me to redo every website I’ve ever created. Wow! Just Wow! Love it! Keep up the awesomeness!

    • Juan C says:

I hear you – me too

    • Shane Melaugh says:

Thank you very much, Lisa! I’m happy to know you like our new releases this much.

  • Juan C says:

What can I say but very cool

  • Quentin Pain says:

Really great work Shane and co. Makes the membership cost seem even cheaper. Now all I’ve got to do is find the time to update my own site!

I’ve spent so much time on it already messing about with an old theme before Thrive came along, so I’m a bit reluctant to go through it all again – but your themes are the biz, so maybe it’s about time.

    • Shane Melaugh says:

I know the feeling, Quentin. Switching a theme can be quite dreadful. With Thrive Themes, we make sure that the themes are as cross-compatible as possible so that at least when you’re switching from one Thrive Theme to another, the process isn’t so painful.

  • Mark says:

    Shane and Paul,

I’m brand new with you guys, but wanted to say it seems like you put out such high quality content and themes and your plugin.

It’s refreshing to see this kind of care to give top value.

This particular theme did open up kind of slow for me … not sure if it’s my end or maybe the image? But it looks great.

    • Shane Melaugh says:

      Hi Mark,

      Thanks for your comment!
Some of the pages on the demo site use large background images for the top section. With large images, it’s always a trade-off between the visual effect and slower page loading speed, unfortunately.
Another factor is that none of our demo sites are speed optimized (yet). We simply haven’t had the time or resource to do any optimization work on them, so all you’re seeing is the theme loading on a basic, non-optimized WordPress install. We will fix that at some point, so that the demo sites are more representative of what you can accomplish on your own site, with a bit of extra optimization.

      • Mark S says:

        Makes sense Shane, thanks

  • Rita S says:

You get better and better and better…! ..just installed it on my upcoming blog … and i wish, i could be the girl with the sunglasses – she looks so nice and gives the page the real look! :D

    • Shane Melaugh says:

Thank you, Rita! I guess you’ll have to grab a blue sweater, some sunglasses and have a new picture of yourself taken. :)

  • Joerg says:

This is simply awesome Stuff Guys! You “Thrive” it to the Magic..;-)

    • Shane Melaugh says:

      Thank you, Joerg!

  • Mike B says:

Great work again, well done you all!

    • Shane Melaugh says:

      Thank you, Mike!

  • Kristy-Lea says:

Can anyone say I think it is time for a site upgrade just because this theme fits perfect with what I want to do! Love love love it! Great timing with all the new things coming out for me in 2015! Can’t wait to play and create…

    • Shane Melaugh says:

That’s great to hear! Glad you like the new theme!

  • Joseph C says:

Just Installed on a new blog. I’m really Liking all the Cool Features Keep Up The Great Work Love Your Product!!

    • Shane Melaugh says:

Thanks, Joseph! Happy to hear that!

  • Jason says:

I really like this theme and am ready to buy!

    I have a question though,

Can I change the sidebar to the left side? And also, are the email capture fields changeable – that is, can I add and/or remove fields like “name”, for in content optin boxes and focus boxes?

Thanks so much, look forward to your reply.

    • Shane Melaugh says:

      Hello Jason,

Yes to both of those questions. :)

  • Thanasi says:

Just picked up a subscrip from you guys based on this theme.

I’ll be honest and tell you that the other themes did not impress me whatsoever, but what did was the progression of improvement and that is why I signed up.

Having used OptimizePress in the past, I’m a little spoiled, so while it’s not the same (for now), at your price point, you just can’t be beat. I do have tons of suggestions so hopefully I can zip them over to you.

One thing that really blew me away as a new member was your welcoming Member’s Area.

It is EXTREMELY intuitive and I felt like I was in your home. Great, great, job fellas.

I wish you guys the best. You look like a solid bunch of folks.

    • Shane Melaugh says:

      Hello Thanasi,

Yes, your suggestions are very welcome! You can comment here or post in the support forums to let us know how we can make the products better for you.

  • Mohammed S says:

Thanks Shane and thrive themes for the very practical and yet impressive easy to use templates.
I finally found the theme that ticks all I need.

    • Shane Melaugh says:

That’s great to hear, Mohammed! Glad you like the new theme!

  • Adrian B says:

Looks really nice Paul. Well done Thrive team!

    • Shane Melaugh says:

      Thank you, Adrian!

  • David H. L says:

I’m hoping that you can do a blog post/video soon on how to use Thrive Themes in the service of building funnels. Having just come out of Don Crowther’s weekend of joy, I’m really excited about building out my first funnel, simplifying my theme (moving away from Canvas and to Pressive), and taking advantage of all that Pressive has to offer. But I’d love a primer on building a funnel that feeds into Pressive. Thanks!

    • Shane Melaugh says:

      Hello David,

Thank you for the suggestion! The easiest way to build a funnel using our tools is using the Landing Pages in Thrive Content Builder. There are many templates there that are meant to tie together into a funnel. But I’m also open to creating some more training content on this topic.

  • Gerard says:

    very nice.
Has a lot that can’t be found in other thrive themes.
The only thing i don’t like is that it’s a boxed version.
It there a full width option or will there be one.

    • Shane Melaugh says:

      Hello Gerard,

No, this is only available in the boxed layout, I’m afraid. There will be future magazine themes (with these same features) with different designs, though.

  • Simon B says:

love the theme guys great job one quick point whats happening with theme guides shane mentioned so we can get graphic sizes etc to make look great cheers Si

  • Jeff G says:

I’m super impressed with the Pressive theme and the lead plugin, along with the “text editor”.

I would like to customize my theme and understand child themes are the way to go but have also read about some issues creating child themes from your themes.
Could you speak to an estimate or priority of when you guys will be able to rework the folder structure and code base to better support child themes?

    Thanks, Jeff

  • Allegra says:

I read the article on loading icons but I’m wondering where you find the icons you used on the Pressive feature grid demo page. Did you use images instead of icons?

    • Shane Melaugh says:

      Hello Allegra,

Check out FontAwesome and IcoMoon. I personally use IcoMoon to generate icon sets and our products also let you upload IcoMoon sets to use directly in your content.

  • Allegra says:

Thanks, Shane! I will check again, I didn’t see the pretty colorful icons you used here:, but perhaps I overlooked them. Have a powerful day!

    • Shane Melaugh says:

Ah, I see. Those are just images. And images like that we either purchase (stock images/graphics) or are created by one of our designers. If it’s multi-colored, it’s usually an image. There is a way to do multi-colored font icons, but I’ve never seen it in use apart from tech demos.

  • Lei says:

Upon checking your theme demo, I have noticed that the images or featured image for my blogs are blurred on my index page. While in your demo site is okay. I tried to use 1500px x 1000px like the one the you used but still I am getting blurred image for the front blog. Could you possibly help me with this?
