What is Digistore24?

Digistore24 is an online sales platform that lets you take payments for online courses and membership programs.

This powerful platform is packed with features that allow business owners to grow their business in various ways, but we’re going to focus on how infopreneurs can use this tool to sell their digital products.

Digistore24 is very similar to Stripe or Paypal, so you can apply this tutorial to either platform if this is what you use.

What You Need to Prepare Before You Start Building

Now, there’s a few things you’ll need to prepare in advance before setting up your Digistore24 checkout page and Thrive Automator automation.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • A Thrive Apprentice Product Course or Membership Program

This can be an online course or membership program you’ve designed in Thrive Apprentice. You can use this guide to build your first online course and this one to create your first membership platform.

  • A Sales Page for Your Product

You can use one of the sales page templates in Thrive Architect to quickly create a stunning sales page for your product and get your audience to buy.

  • A Confirmation Page

This is what your customers will see after they’ve purchased your product. Thrive Architect also has pre-built templates you can use to set up an awesome confirmation page in a couple of hours or less.

  • A Login Page For Your Students

Once your students have paid for their course, they’re going to need to log in to access your content. A login page is important for this step, otherwise your students won’t be able to find what they’ve paid for.

  • A Courses Page

Next, you need to have a courses page where your students can easily access the courses they’ve paid for. If you’re using Thrive Apprentice, then you’ve probably already set this up.

  • Autoresponder Emails

Last, but not least, you’ll need to write and program any autoresponders you want to send out once someone has purchased your digital product. You can use a popular email marketing service like MailChimp, ActiveCampaign, or AWeber to set up these emails.

Once you’ve prepared all the items on this list, you can move on to the next step:
Building your checkout page in Digistore24.

Setting Up Your Product & Checkout Page in Digistore24

The checkout page is where your customers will enter their credit card information to buy your product. You don’t have to worry about setting this up on your own as Christine will walk you through the process in this tutorial.

The walkthrough covers all the important parts of the process, including:

  • Creating a new product
    • Selecting product type
    • Give the product a name
    • Filling in links to the sales and confirmation pages directly linked to this product
  • Setting up a payment plan for your product
  • Creating an order form in Digistore24 and linking it to your product
Note: In case you get stuck during the process, you can refer to Digistore24’s knowledge base, where they have resources to help you get order form built, customized, and activated.

Don’t forget to save your progress once you’ve filled in the necessary information in Digistore24.

After you’ve linked your order form to the sales page you’ve built in Thrive Architect, the next step is to set up access through an automation in Thrive Automator.

In this section of the video, Christine will show you how to grant access to customers who have paid for your online course(s) or membership program.

Are You Ready To Program Your Automation?

With Thrive Automator, you can set up an automation that provides access to any and every one of your courses once someone has paid for them - and you won’t have to lift a finger.

If you’re new to automations, don’t worry. We’ve got an extensive guide to help you create an automation for Digistore24, Thrive Automator, and Thrive Apprentice with ease. Christine’s walkthrough in this tutorial will also give you a good idea on how to set up this automation.

Now, the rest is up to you.

  • Thank you for programming it. This is what I waited for because here in Germany most digital products are sold through Digistore24.

The most important feature and question for me is: can I automate blocking the access to the product if a contact returns the product and makes use of a refund or if the subscription period is over?

    Thanks a lot!
