Installing & Connecting Thrive Automator
Installing, activating and connecting Thrive Automator is easy. If you've already installed Thrive Automator on your website and connected your Thrive Themes account, you can skip this section.
Install and activate Thrive Automator
There are 3 ways to find and install Thrive Automator. Just choose the method that’s easiest for you...
From inside your WordPress dashboard
Log into your WordPress dashboard, and select the 'Plugins' section, and click the 'Add New' button.
Then search for "Thrive Automator" and click 'Install'
Don't forget to click 'Activate' as a final step.
From the Official WordPress Plugin Directory
Download Thrive Automator from the WordPress Plugin Directory, and upload it to your WordPress website manually.
As a Thrive Suite member
If you’re a Thrive Suite member, you can simply activate Thrive Automator directly from your Thrive Dashboard. No additional steps needed.
Create & Connect Your FREE Thrive Account
Next you'll be prompted to install a lightweight plugin called Thrive Product Manager, and connect it with a FREE Thrive Themes account. This allows Thrive Automator to connect with all your favorite apps and services, including WooCommerce and 20+ email marketing services.
All of this is totally free and only takes around a minute.
(You can skip this step, but Thrive Automator will be limited to just the basic WordPress actions and installed 3rd party plugins integrations.)

Connect your Email Marketing Service (optional)
Thrive Automator is now ready to use.
However, if you want to take advantage of all the great automations involving your email list, you'll need to connect Thrive Automator to your email marketing service (e.g. Mailchimp, Active Campaign, etc.).

How to Create Your First Automations
The best way to start exploring Thrive Automator is by creating your own automation recipes using the tools and services you already use in your online business. Let's look at how to create a few popular automations to get started...

Creating Your First Automation
Open the Thrive Automator dashboard (in the backend area of your WordPress site) and click the '+ Add New' button to start building your first automation:
Every automation starts with a Trigger
Select from our growing list of "Triggers" to start your automations. This includes whenever a visitor leaves a comment, logs in, creates a new account, when an incoming webhook is received, or when a particular time or date is met.
If you also use the other conversion-focused tools inside Thrive Suite, you'll have access to many more triggers to automate your growing business...
Here’s a taste of the growing Thrive Automator triggers you can currently choose from:
Filters allow you to add powerful rules to each automation
Now that you’ve selected a trigger, you’ll can choose to apply a "Filter" so your automation only triggers when your chosen conditions are met.
For example, if you select one of the Thrive Apprentice course triggers, you can use the filter step to focus which course (or courses) your automation must be applied to. Note that the list of available filters you'll see in this step will change depending on which trigger you selected in the previous step.
Here’s a few examples of how filters can be used to make your automations incredibly granular:
When a student enrolls in a course, add an email tag, BUT ONLY for courses from a specific teacher.
When a visitor submits a form, add them to an email marketing service, BUT ONLY for forms embedded on a specific page AND that contain a telephone number.
When a visitor completes a quiz, give them access to a specific Thrive Apprentice Course, BUT ONLY IF the quiz result is above 80%.
Hey Wait a Minute... with Delays
Sometimes it's important that certain steps in your automations don't happen instantly — and that’s why Thrive Automator was built with powerful "Delay" options.
Assign delays (specified in minutes, hours, days, weeks, months or even years!) to have each of your action steps fire exactly when you want them to.
And if you need to add multiple actions to a single automation, you're free to mix and match your trigger timing as necessary. Set up one action to fire immediately with the next action firing after a delay. Whatever you need!
Actions are the final results of your automations
The last part of setting up any automation in Thrive Automator is to pick an "Action" from our growing list of available options.
Like the filter step, these actions will dynamically change depending on your chosen trigger. New actions are being added to Thrive Automator all the time!

Remove the user form a Thrive Apprentice course
Start a Thrive Ultimatum Campaign
Add the user to an email marketing service
